It's already halftime!
I can't believe it- and would rather stop the time. Between 3 and 4 months passed by after my first article to PAX, and nothing really changed in how I'm feeling here, I just did a whole lot of stuff and got to know and love everything even more. Sure, not every day was the happiest of my life, but not because I missed something or somebody so bad. I still wasn't homesick yet. And tbh, even if everybody says that every exchange student will at least once, I don't think I will be homesick. That should not sound any mean, but I just feel so happy here and enjoy every moment of that experience I got to have. I already passed the known "hard times", and my weeks count downwards now, so I'm just living in the moment, or sometimes think about how I can coordinate my new life with my other when I'll get back. I turned 18 last month, and had a great birthday party the next day. It was one of my best days, but also almost the worst (my actual birth day) cause we lost the semi-final football game for state. It was my 13th, and last, football game. I've never been so sad in the whole time I've been here. We also had snow! In Georgia! That was really fun, and we had early release from school that Friday. I had a really fun snowball fight with my brothers and built a tiny snowman with a friend. Christmas time was also really fun, we watched almost every christmas movie that exists, and I met a lot with friends to bake christmas cookies, go ice skating, or watch more movies. Christmas was a great experience, and a very fun family time. The grandparents came too for a couple days, which was very nice. On the 30th, we drove to Savannah, GA to spend New Year's there. It was a very nice trip and we had so much fun. Now it's the last day of the break, and the second semester is about to start. I hope to make just as great experiences and memories as I made in the first. Wednesday, Jan. 3. 2018 https://www.pax.org/phocadownload/newsletters/pax-press-january-2018-vol-xxiii-no-5-online.pdf
